Woven at 616 KPSI, this piece is very camera shy, a piece that comes alive only in light and in person. The surface shimmers from blush to silver as one moves around it, an optical poetry unique to Isfahan silks of this era. Slight irregularities in the image are tricks of reflection, not wear as the rug itself remains beautifully intact and impossibly soft to touch.
